Vietnamese Tet holiday in Finland
In Vietnam, we celebrate a traditional holiday annually –
Tet Holiday (Lunar New Year). Some of you may think that our holiday came from
the Chinese New Year. However, our holiday has no relation with them. Yet this
is not a topic to debate about this. I would to tell about the Tet holiday I
spend in Finland. As a tradition, Vietnamese will spend holiday with their
family but we could not do it here in Finland. Fortunately, there are many
Vietnamese students in Finland as well as a large community of Vietnamese
immigrants who came here long time ago. Thanks to this, we, student, still had
chance to spend a warmly holiday with full of traditional meaning as we live in
Vietnam.
